About the Contest

Objectives of the Contest

To disseminate information about the Sustainable Development Goals (hereinafter - 17 SDGs), as well as to attract young people to active co-operation for the implementation of the 17 SDGs; to create favourable conditions for the realisation of the creative potential of young people by means of art.

Tasks of the Contest

  • Development of creative potential of participants, formation of understanding of the importance of active interaction between countries and peoples, respect for the pecu-liarities of other cultures.
  • Increasing the motivation of participants to understand the spiritual and moral aspects of human life.
  • Development of creative activity of students.
  • Creating a favourable environment for creative communication and solving common issues through art and creativity.

Participants

Foreign and Russian fashion designers, designers, artists, students of creative universities, students of other educational organisations, as well as all those who are interested not only in art, fashion, but also in their influence and interaction with society in the conditions of mod-ern realities.

Works should reflect the theme of the Conference, i.e. with the inclusion of the 17 SDGs in the creative works.

Evaluation criteria

  • Disclosure of the conference theme and imagery of the SDGs (one or more), and ref-erence to Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Artistic expressiveness
  • Correspondence of composition and colour to the idea
  • Creative individuality of the author’s skills
  • Originality of the idea interpretation

Technical requirements for the contest work in the nominations

Works executed in accordance with the listed technical requirements are accepted for participation in the contest

In the categories: “painting”, “graphics”, “arts and crafts”, “photo art”, “digital art” indi-vidual works and series of works are presented, compiled into a tablet or video clip.

  • format: JPG
  • overall size of layouts: 1000mm x 1000mm, 1000mm x 2000mm
  • resolution: 150 dpi
  • colour mode: RGB
  • file size limitations: up to 15 MB

In the category “Costume Design” is presented a photo album with costume models, sketches of collections:

  • overall size of the layout: A4
  • resolution: 150 dpi
  • colour mode: RGB
  • file size limit: up to 15 MB

and/or video of runway walk:

  • format: mp4
  • orientation: horizontal
  • quality: minimum 480p
  • duration: no more than 5 minutes
  • file size limit: no more than 100 MB

The following are not allowed to participate in the contest

  • works that do not meet the technical requirements
  • diploma theses and projects
  • works that are not with the conference theme ‘For Sustainable Development of Civilisation: Cooperation, Science, Education, Technology (Latin America and the Caribbean’s Path to 17 SDGs: Integrated Approach)

One author (team of authors) is allowed to submit one work in a category, with participation in no more than 3 categories.

Applications for participation in the contest and creative works are accepted until 10 November 2024 at the link.

The best works will be displayed at the exhibition within the 3rd International Scientific Conference “For the Sustainable Development of Civilization: Cooperation, Science, Education, Technology (Latin America and the Caribbean’s Path to 17 SDGs: Integrated Approach)” in RUDN university. Address: Moscow, Miklukho-Maklaya str. 6.

The winners and awardees are given diplomas, certificates and memorable prizes from the organisers.

Contest experts are teachers of leading Moscow universities, practicing artists and designers.
