About the event

Sustainable development of humanity requires fair relations between nations, the ability to objectively evaluate the culture of your own and other nations, and the formation of each person’s vested interest in improving human existence. To achieve this goal, it is necessary that rational arguments in favor of mutual assistance and cooperation be supplemented by positive emotions, so that a positive image of the Other could be formed in a person’s consciousness.

The tools for solving this problem are fashion, design, and art. Fashion and design convey aesthetic and pragmatic views on everyday life, art reveals an understanding of the ideal of individual and social existence. They are an essential element of all spheres of society: economics, politics, education, sports, etc. It is faster to achieve mutual understanding between people when communication in the language of images supplements a dialogue in the language of political and economic concepts. Latin America and the Caribbean is a unique region which has united the cultural traditions of two parts of the world. Turning to design, fashion and art of these countries are especially relevant today in the context of the need to develop and implement a new development strategy.
